Grades 2 – 8
The goal at SEW FUN STUDIOS is to celebrate sewing as a cool, relevant and creative activity. We hope our students will discover the joy of sewing as a lifelong skill and ongoing creative expression. This session is perfect for the sewer who also loves to bake! Students will go home with cute fashions to wear in the kitchen. Students will choose their own fabric and make different projects all about baking, especially cupcakes. Projects include a cupcake bakers hat, cupcake apron, cupcake pillow, and a table runner to display your cupcakes on. Get ready to have fun sewing, then go home to your own kitchen and enjoy baking with all your new sewing projects at hand.

My name is Brittney Waters, and I am the instructor for Sew Fun Studios. I am currently pursuing a degree in Education to become an elementary/middle school teacher. I have over 10 years of experience in working with children from infancy to 18 years of age. I am truly passionate about education. In teaching, I can construct new approaches, exhibit my creativity, consistently guide my students, assess students’ needs, promote positive behavior, introduce my students to new lessons/knowledge, and provide encouragement in order to support them. The most pleasurable activity I encounter while working with children is the beauty of bonding with them and the ability to be an inspiration to help cultivate their current/future decisions, intellect, goals, and character. As their Sew Fun Studios instructor, you can expect me to be consistent, calm, friendly/positive, supportive, accessible, dedicated, attentive, and assertive. I look forward to engaging with the students and having lots of tribal fun here at Cathedral of Christ the King.)
