My Dear Friends in Christ,
Welcome! Today we gather on the holiest of days to celebrate the miracle of the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Whether this is your first Christmas at Christ the King or whether our Christmas Masses have been part of your tradition for years, I offer you, with heartfelt joy, a holy place to come and worship the Newborn King.
The world rejoices that the King of Kings has come – to live among us, in our homes and in our hearts. We, like the shepherds of two thousand years ago, can follow our hearts and discover the Christ Child. He can lead our world from sin and darkness, bringing peace and joy to all who choose to listen. As on that first Christmas, as Mary and Joseph made their long journey to Bethlehem, we now renew our own journey towards eternal life.
May this season of hope and joy fill your hearts and homes and may our loving God grant you every blessing in the New Year.
Yours in Christ,
Monsignor Frank McNamee, Rector
