Dear Parishioners,

In order to serve the community of CTK, we would like to introduce you to our Parish Council Members for the 2015/2016 year.  We will highlight several members each week so you can get to know them and have their contact information.

Alex Ferguson: Chair for the Parish Council

CTK is home to me.  I grew up attending weekly Mass at CTK and attended CKS through 6th grade.  My brother and I were altar boys.  In 2002, Kate and I had the privilege of being married at CTK by Monsignor Kenny.  Today my two oldest, Gwyneth and Charlotte, attend CKS, and hopefully our two boys will as well.  I’ve enjoyed serving as perpetual adoration guardian and the CRHP ministries.  Kate and I also meet weekly with our small group that includes 4 other CTK couples with young kids. I am honored to serve as Chair of the Parish Council this year. Feel free to contact me at .

Kathleen Swan: Liturgy Ministries

I have been a member of the parish for 30 years and consider this my spiritual home. I began my years here as a teacher at Christ the King School and later as a parent there. Over the years in the parish and school community I have been involved as the school PVA Co-president; co-founder of the MUST Ministry summer lunch program; facilitator for the Cathedral Women’s Bible Study; member of the Welcome Ministry; PSR teacher; Extraordinary Minister at 9 am Mass: Adoration Guardian, and a member of St. Ignatius Church Circle. My husband, Hayes, and I have raised our 3 children in the parish and have been supportive of the Life Teen program through their involvement. I love this parish and I look forward to continuing to serve through the Parish Council. Feel free to contact me at

Meri Barbalho: Children Ministry/School

I am involved at CTK in the Parish School of Religion as a PSR Sub. I also volunteer for Sweet Saints and my daughter goes to CKS and is in the 1st grade. I am very excited to serve on the Parish Council this year. Feel free to contact me at

Sarah Catherine (SC) Welch-Youth Ministry

I have been a parishioner for four years and am blessed to find a home here at the Cathedral. After two years of fruitful ministry with the women’s CRHP retreats, I was led to our dynamic youth ministry program. This will be my third year volunteering with the incredible youth of our parish as a member of the Life Teen, Confirmation, and Discipleship Core teams. Feel free to contact me at
