Giving Online

Offer a gift or schedule a recurring gift at the frequency you prefer. Choose a fund that 1) directly supports the Cathedral, or 2) choose a charity outside of the Cathedral as part of your faith in action.

Bundle your giving into a “basket” and check out with one method of payment.

  1. Choose a fund/cause.
  2. Enter the amount and frequency of your gift.
  3. Select “Add to basket.”
  4. To add another fund/cause/amount or frequency, click “See all.” Select the next cause you’d like to support and repeat the steps above.
  5. Select “Continue to payment.” The same method of payment will be applied to all items in your basket.

Gifts to the Cathedral and gifts to other charities cannot be bundled into one basket at this time. Thank you for understanding! To give to multiple causes or with different methods of payment, please complete each transaction separately.

Gifts of Stock

Online Transfer

Gifts of stock can be made online with your broker’s assistance. Request that your stock broker transfer the stated number of shares electronically to the Cathedral of Christ the King’s account at JP Morgan. Then, contact us to alert us to the coming transaction.

Before you Donate
Contact our Controller, Michael Bauml, at 678-235-0499 or mbauml@ctking.com, ahead of the transaction to ensure you receive proper credit. Please include the name of the stock, the number of shares, the date of the donation, and the purpose of the gift. We will provide written confirmation of the gift after its receipt.

Manual Transfer

Stock certificates physically held in your possession with the donor’s name can be gifted to the Cathedral of Christ the King.

  1. Send a signed stock power with a medallion signature guarantee (which may be obtained from your bank or broker). Mail the unendorsed certificate(s) and stock power by registered mail in separate envelopes to Christ the King. The donor may endorse the certificate(s) over to Christ the King (you can use the form on the back of the certificate), but they must have a medallion signature guarantee on the certificate(s). 
  2. Send a dated, notarized letter indicating that the shares are a gift to the Cathedral of Christ the King. All holders of record on the front of the certificate(s) must sign the letter. Mail the certificate(s) to the attention of Michael Bauml at the address below.

IRAs | RMDs | QCDs

Anyone age 70½ or older can make direct transfers up to $100,000 per year to charitable organizations from their Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA), without the withdrawal being treated as taxable income. Such transactions are Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) and may count toward satisfying your Required Minimum Distribution (RMDs).
