The liturgy of the Church is rich. A youth-focused Mass is a vibrant liturgy that speaks to young people and challenges them to live as disciples of Christ. It seeks to shine light on the richness of the ancient liturgy, not replace it. It is not limited just to teenagers; people of all ages can attend a youth Mass. The music and environment are set for youth and their families. The energy, reverence, and prayerfulness that teens bring to the celebration are contagious. Our goal is to help the teens enter fully into the receiving Jesus in both the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist so that it will transform their lives.

Hospitality and Liturgy Involvement

We aim to help teens know from the first time they attend a Youth Mass that they are welcome there and that this is a place for them. The teens are encouraged to serve in the various liturgical ministries and know that they are a valued and important part of the community.

Music Involvement

Teens listen to a great deal of music every day. Although some of it may be objectionable, it is usually produced very well and has incredible sound quality. To bring the liturgy to life for teens, youth Masses use musical instruments that teens are used to hearing on a daily basis. With reverence and prayer, the music calls the congregation into deeper prayer, rather than distracting from it.
