2024 Adopt-A-Child
Due to the success of Adopt-A-Child last summer, we are continuing this project this summer!
Christ the King aims to provide back to school supplies for 275 children (K – 12th grade) in need throughout Atlanta. We hope you can help us provide back packs filled with back-to-school supplies for each child and donate funds to help us purchase new athletic shoes, a back to school outfit and socks for each child. Our team will distribute your gifts to each student before the start of school. Together, we can help these children and families have a great start to the school year.
Ways to help:
- Sign up to Adopt-A-Child by providing a backpack filled with school supplies that you will purchase and deliver to us for distribution by July 15. (A specific list will be provided.)
- Make a monetary donation to help purchase new athletic shoes, a back to school outfit, and socks for each child.

Christ the King is proud to sponsor the Christmas Connections/ Adopt-A-Family Program. We hope you can take part in this wonderful program which offers you the opportunity to share your blessings with others. This is one way you can reach out to those in need! We work with Catholic Charities, CTK’s Hispanic Ministry, Divine Mercy Mission, Archdiocese of Atlanta Disabilities Ministry, the St. Vincent de Paul society and St. Joseph Catholic Church. All families participating in this program have been screened and are in need of your help.
Families, groups and individuals can sponsor a small or large family. Once you sign up for a family, you will receive detailed instructions and wish-lists for the families. Thank you for considering adopting a family this year and helping reach our parish goal of over 600 families.

Gifts cannot be accepted at the front desk beforehand.

Volunteers
Closer to the collection and distribution date, we will communicate available volunteer opportunities. We are always in need of shoppers, wrappers, drop-off day volunteers, and distribution day volunteers. Be on the lookout for more information!
