Do I have to make a commitment to become Catholic before I begin the process?

You do not have to make a commitment to become Catholic prior to the start of the process. The OCIA journey begins with your desire to learn more about becoming Catholic. What is the OCIA Process?

Throughout the history of Christianity, people of all faiths have found their way to the Catholic Church. While each person’s journey is as unique as the individual themselves, all are drawn to the one God and for the same purpose – to know Him, to love Him and to serve Him. The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults offers a program of faith formation, discipleship and fellowship for adults 18 years and older that will prepare them for full initiation/communion into the Catholic Church at Easter. The weeks following the Easter Vigil through Pentecost are spent assisting the newly initiated in becoming fruitful disciples of Jesus.

What are the next steps?

Please complete the OCIA Information Form and forward legible copies of your Birth, Baptismal and First Communion Certificates (where applicable) to ocia@ctking.com. You will receive a link to make an interview appointment in the confirmation email.

We look forward to meeting you!
