CTK Recreation Sports teams are coached by volunteers. Thank you for considering volunteering to be a coach. We cannot run our program without the help of two volunteer coaches per team. The coach’s purpose is to provide a fun, enjoyable and safe Catholic sporting experience while learning team and individual skills. We encourage sportsmanship, fair play, honesty and fun!
Interested coaches are required to sign up for each sport and every session even if they have previously coached. We will make every effort to meet the request for the desired sport and age group.
Basic Coach Responsibilities:
- Focus on developing skills, sportsmanship, safety and fun. Encourage team spirit, unity and faith in God.
- Be the first point of contact for the team
- Be present at practices and games. If you aren’t available, you are responsible for securing a replacement.
- Adhere to CTK Recreation policies as well as League policies, rules and guidelines and support the responsibilities of the officials, league leadership, and parents.

We are seeking volunteer Soccer coaches for our Pre-K through 8th grade teams (boys and girls). The schedule is set by the league and will be posted as soon as it is available. Games are typically on Saturdays and Sundays starting in early March. The number of teams available to our community will be based on the number of coaches that sign up to volunteer during our coach enrollment period starting December 2020. All teams must have two coaches.
