Do I have to make a commitment to become Catholic before I begin the process?

You do not have to make a commitment to become Catholic prior to the start of the process. The RCIA journey begins with your desire to learn more about becoming Catholic. You will have a chance to have your questions answered and participate in the faith journey with others inquirers. You can find answers to the frequently asked questions here.

The next RCIA process for individuals who have been baptized in another faith tradition begins on Saturday, August 19, 2023 with our Opening Retreat and meets on Sundays from 10:15 -11:45 am. The Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist are celebrated at the 5:30 pm Mass on Sunday, February 4, 2024.

What is the RCIA Process?

Throughout the history of Christianity, people of all faiths have found their way to the Catholic Church. While each person’s journey is as unique as the individual themselves, all are drawn to the one God and for the same purpose – to know Him, to love Him and to serve Him. The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults offers a program of faith formation, discipleship and fellowship for adults 18 years and older that will prepare them for full initiation/communion into the Catholic Church at Easter. Here’s an outline of the process.
